Our Story

In 1970, twin brothers set out on a mission — to create high-quality home furnishings that brought comfort and warmth to every household. Growing up in a small town, they had spent their childhood tinkering in their father’s workshop, fascinated by the craftsmanship behind well-made furniture. With a shared passion for design and business, they pooled their savings and opened ‘Ruawai Home Furnishings', a humble store specialising in wooden furniture, including dressers, bed frames and home essentials.

As their reputation for quality and affordability grew, so did their ambitions. Over the years, the twins evolved into a dedicated Beds & More Outlet Store, offering a wide range of mattresses, bases, and bedding solutions. The demand for their products soared, leading to the opening of multiple stores across the country.

With the next generation stepping in, fresh new ideas evolved, while staying true to the company’s founding values. They introduced modern designs, expanded product offerings, and embraced new retail strategies — all while maintaining the same commitment to comfort and quality that their fathers instilled.

Now, over 50 years later, Beds & More has grown from a small family-run store into a nationwide brand, helping countless families find the perfect place to rest and recharge. And though the business has expanded, one thing remains unchanged — at the heart of every bed, there’s a legacy of craftsmanship, dedication, and family.
